Little T, as I shall call him, was limited in his english, having recently come to live here from Japan. He went into the restroom one day and ran out exclaiming, Ms. O, there's a big word on the potty wall, it says ( mind you he's saying it just with the sounds) "f" "uh".**..... Before he could put the sounds together, I placed my hand over his mouth and explained that normally words written on a bathroom wall weren't nice words....ahhhhh, out of the mouth of babes.....hehe This was his day of enlightenment, when it all clicked about putting sounds together to make words....needless to say he became one of my better readers!
